Attacking the rich

Updated: Feb 23

(Picture: An article from The Economist @theeconomist) Many Democrat candidates seem to be poised to clobber "rich people" and "conglomerates" were they to be elected in the 2020 US presidential election. Are billionaires the upshots of the errors of modern society and capitalism as Mr. Sanders quoted? Most would not argue that Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft Corporation, became rich thanks to distortions of the system, given that his innovative ideas have impacted the world in a positive way. In addition, Mr. Gate is known to have donated US $4.78 billion in 2018. However, it also sounds plausible to criticize the world where its richest 1% is known to own half of its wealth. But is that really a rich people’s fault? Debates on the validity of attacking the rich seem to perpetuate. Leave your opinions in the comment section. theasians.org
